On Friday 24 March Adamson House hosted an afternoon tea whilst reflecting on a busy first year. The day was dedicated to honouring all the people that make the service special, with friends, family and external health and social care professionals invited to mark the occasion. The day focused on celebrating the commitment of our team members and our residents’ truly inspirational support journeys!
Highlights from the day included a karaoke competition and an Adamson House-themed quiz and the celebrations concluded with a game of bingo and cake. The team were also delighted to receive some heartwarming thank you cards and letters from residents and their family members, appreciating the team for their support.
Bianca Aylwin, Adamson House Service Manager comments: “Upon celebrating the first year of service for Adamson House, I’d like to share how much pride I have for the service and what we have achieved. We have an amazing team and have forged some really strong working relationships with our residents’ care teams and local commissioners, building a really positive reputation for Adamson House and its homely environment.
It goes without saying that none of this could have been achieved without our residents. Our team find it an absolute pleasure supporting them to develop their skills, manage their everyday challenges, provide them with meaningful activity and make a positive difference in their lives. We look forward to seeing our residents progress to greater independence and where their individual journeys will take them.”
