We are thrilled to announce that the team at Holland House have been shortlisted for ‘Care Team of the Year’ at the National Care Awards 2024.
The National Care Awards celebrates the best of the care sector and will be returning for the 26th year to announce the winners. The ‘Care Team of the Year’ category will be awarded to “a staff team who have developed and maintained an outstanding standard of care and team ethos within any care setting.”
The team at Holland House were delighted to be selected as finalists following their heartfelt nomination about the teamwork, positivity, and resilience of the team, alongside their collaboration with Lancashire County Council Adult Social Care Mental Health Service.

Earlier this year Holland House worked on the project with the aim of reducing hospital admissions and optimising patient discharge. The award entry championed the integrated care partnership between Northern Healthcare and Lancashire Country Council:
“Holland House has recently been working on a project that is being trialled in conjunction with Northern Healthcare and Lancashire County Council. The service has six beds utilised to move individuals from hospital to support them with benefits and housing, giving them more time to source alternative accommodation and continue their recovery journey. So far, the service has seen three successful moves, with two people going on to live independently. A huge success in our eyes!”
Since submitting the entry, Holland House has seen seventeen admissions, with seven individuals moving onto independent living. We’re currently working with others to take the next step!
