Welcome to the Northern Healthcare Awards 2023

We are delighted to open nominations for the Northern Healthcare Awards 2023! This year marks a special milestone in Northern Healthcare’s journey as our team celebrate 10 years dedicated to putting people first and changing lives.

Nominations are open to everyone throughout May. Team members can nominate themselves or a colleague. We are also welcoming nominations from residents, external professionals and our residents’ families and friends can nominate too.

Nominations close May 31 2023. Don’t miss your chance to recognise a member of the Northern Healthcare team for the amazing work they do!

We know you may wish to recognise many of our wonderful team members; you can nominate as many times as you like. Please include your reasons for nominating, these will be submitted to our judging panel, and we will share these with our nominees and the wider team!

Northern Healthcare Awards 2023 Categories:

Business Administrator of the Year

Where would we all be without our Business Administrators? They are key to the smooth running of our services and are often involved not only in administrative functions but also support our wider team members and our residents.

Best Resident Experience Initiative 

Our team members work extremely hard to enhance our residents’ experiences and make a life-long impact. We are looking for a team member who has implemented an idea/initiative or consistently provided outstanding support to positively influence resident outcomes.

Sometimes it can be the small things that an individual team member has put into practice to support a resident and sometimes it’s grand ideas that impact the whole service for the better. Let us know how your nominee has made an impact. You can nominate an individual or several team members who have worked together!

Central Support Star

There are a lot of people behind the scenes helping our residents and empowering our keyworker colleagues. This award recognises a colleague from Head Office who has made a difference to Northern Healthcare whether this be helping our services or consistently going above and beyond in their role.

Clinician of the Year

Do you know a stand-out Clinician, Nurse or OT? This award recognises a team member who has made a difference by implementing and sharing their clinical knowledge and expertise to provide an outstanding experience for our residents.

Going Above and Beyond

Anyone from any role who shows an extraordinary commitment to Northern Healthcare! Do you know a team member who should be recognised for continually going above and beyond their duties?

Rising Star

This award is designed to recognise a team member who has shown commitment to progressing within Northern Healthcare, whether through career development and progression opportunities, undertaking an apprenticeship or academic course alongside their role, or volunteering in other areas to widen their knowledge and skills.

Service Manager of the Year

Our Service Managers are truly the key to providing outstanding support to our residents and driving improvements across all services. We are looking for a dedicated Service Manager who consistently identifies opportunities for service enhancement for our residents and team members, promotes a better understanding of mental health conditions and shares their experience to lead our team to achieve outstanding outcomes and develop their careers.  

Support Worker of the Year

Our Support Workers are our stars who go above and beyond each day. We know the role is not always easy and we thank all our Support Workers for their hard work and dedication. For this category, we would like to recognise a Support Worker who may have gone above and beyond, facilitating new and innovative activities and ideas, or offering unwavering support to residents and team members.

Team Leader of the Year 

Do you know a Team Leader who provides great leadership? A Team Leader who offers support and advice, and encourages and promotes their team’s development?

We are looking for a Team Leader who always ensures residents’ support needs are met, who leads by example, shares their knowledge with their team members to promote their development and encourages everyone to make a difference.

Team Player of the Year

This person could hold any role within Northern Healthcare. We are looking for someone who will go beyond their duties to help a team member. They may have a positive attitude which helps bring people together during difficult times, or they could be the first to step in when they see a colleague in need.
