Our supported living services are full of activities with a busy calendar of group cooking classes, exercise, health and nutrition workshops, 1-2-1 time and occupational therapy to suit everyone’s needs and help the people we support reach their recovery goals.

Milnshaw House’s very own Katie Nazurally was crowned the winner of the Rising Star Award at this year’s 2024 Care Awards.
The award “recognises exceptional talent and potential in individuals who have demonstrated remarkable growth and impact in their sector within a short period.”
Residents and staff at Milnshaw House have been getting in the festive spirit.
They enjoyed baking and decorating homemade gingerbread and attending the local Christmas light switch-on.
Milnshaw House attended the Great British Care Awards as they were chosen as a regional finalist under the ‘The Three ‘R’s’ category.
They didn’t win on this occasion, but they celebrated their place as finalists and look forward to entering again next year.
To celebrate International Day of Friendship, residents and staff created this friendship tree. The tree expresses some of the qualities they look for in friends and the importance of friendship.

Over at Milnshaw House our team put on a delicious spread of coffee, cakes and cookies for all to enjoy in aid of Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning. The total raised was an amazing £203.61!

This afternoon one of our residents at Milnshaw House baked a cake with support from the team. This was done for Milnshaw House’s coffee and cake afternoon with team and residents, and it went down a treat! 🍰

Milnshaw House held a #TimetoTalk event on 3rd February, created and hosted by Stacey, their Medication Champion. Rock painting was the morning activity and residents created rocks for the garden and house with positive messages. This was followed by a quiz which saw teams of staff and residents joining together to win prizes, with the winning team taking the win by just one point!
Congratulations to one of our Milnshaw House residents, along with Team Leader Jess and Service Manager Vicky, our Milnshaw Runners team, on completing the 5k “Mental Elf” Run for Lancashire Mind. They have raised an amazing total of £385! Well done team 👏

Residents from Milnshaw House, Mary Seacole House, Montgomery House all got together for a friendly game of football, ending with a penalty shootout!
Our area manager Lois commented: “We had a really fun day with lots of laughter and shouting! It was great for all the residents from different houses to get together.
A big thank you to Radcliffe Borough for allowing us to use their training pitch and function room.
We would also like to thank Dan Flaherty, our amazing finance director, for refereeing. He was very impartial and loved his whistle!”
One of our residents at Milnshaw House turned 30 over the Halloween weekend – the perfect opportunity for a Halloween themed birthday party! There was karaoke, dancing, and lots of spooky food.
Milnshaw House held a coffee morning in aid of Macmillan at the end of September. They had delicious homemade bakes and cakes ranging from Biscoff cake and Rolo cheesecake, to classic chocolate cupcakes. The coffee morning was a bustling success and saw residents, staff and visitors raise £57.20 for Macmillan!
