At Northern Healthcare we are developing intensive mental health support services designed to meet the needs of individuals with complex mental health presentations, forensic histories, learning disabilities, and other vulnerabilities. Our aim is to support individuals to achieve meaningful outcomes through structured, recovery-focused environments that prioritise safety, dignity, and clinical integrity.
Intensive support doesn’t mean restriction—it means reassurance. Our environments will be safe, therapeutic, and nurturing, staffed by experienced, compassionate professionals available 24/7. We are committed to reducing the risk of readmission through long-term planning and support, and to achieving positive outcomes through continuous improvement, feedback, and adherence to clinical and regulatory standards.
We believe everyone deserves the opportunity to live a fulfilling life in the least restrictive environment possible. Our intensive supported living pathway is grounded in evidence-based practice and standardised care principles. We focus on enabling individuals to manage risk, build skills for independent living, and move toward greater autonomy in a way that is both clinically appropriate and person-centred.
We recognise that each person’s journey is unique, which is why our intensive supported living pathway is built around individual care and support plans – developed in partnership with the people we support, their families, and clinical teams. While promoting independence, skill development, and community engagement, we also prioritise safety and quality in every aspect of care.
